The Island County Board of Health, established pursuant to ICC 8.01.040 for the purpose of supervising all matters pertaining to the preservation of life and health of the people of

Island County in accordance with RCW 70.05.030, consists of five members including: the three members of the Board of Island County Commissioners; the mayor of the City of

Oak Harbor and one Whidbey General Hospital District Commissioner. The Commanding Officer of the Oak Harbor Naval Hospital serves as an ex-officio member. The terms of all

members are set out to run concurrent with the terms of office of the position to which they are elected, or term of command. Pursuant to RCW 70.05.050, the Island County Health

Officer serves as executive secretary to the Board. Regular meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month at 1 p.m. in the Commissioners Hearing Room, or as may be

determined by the Board of Health.

COVID-19 PUBLIC NOTICE – WASHINGTON READY

In adherence to the Governor’s Proclamation 20-28, et seq. and Senate Concurrent Resolution 8402 the Island County Board of Health is providing options for meeting

participation.  Masks are required as mandated by the Secretary State’s Order 20-03.4.
