MONTESSORI COUNTRY SCHOOL: Half Day Session Friday, Sept. 18 Due to Air Quality

Montessori Country School issued the following announcement.

Dear Families,

We have been monitoring the improving air quality on several sites. MCS will hold a half day session today. Children will not be outside. Regular symptom check protocols remain.

Montessori Country School Air Quality ProtocolMontessori Country School will use the following guidelines when faced with poor air quality conditions. We will use Purple Air https://www.purpleair.com/map?opt=1/mAQI/a10/cC0&select=14751#9.27/47.6383/-122.9203 for our Air Quality Index (AQI) readings.

0-50	Good	No change to current schedule
51-100	Moderate	Reduce recess time to 30 minutes. Option provided for indoor recess.
101-150	Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups	No outdoor use. Toddler and Preschool meet as usual. Half day for K-6. K dismissal 11:10-11:30 1-6 dismissal 11:45
151+	Unhealthy	School closed.
