The South Whidbey School District wants to bring 150 students back to school for in-person learning and has laid out a plan to do so, according to the Whidbey News-Times.

Superintendent Jo Moccia said teachers will also be looking at children's status to decide of they may benefit more from in-person learning, like if they are struggling or if they are experiencing food insecurity or homelessness, according to the news media.
“We will be doing this on an ongoing basis and we have already begun the process,” Moccia said in an email, the news media reported.
Moccia said she hopes they hoped they could have students in school each week to help support them in person, the news media reported.
The school board met earlier this month for a workshop and discussed the reopening plan.
