The City Council authorized the Mayor to sign the employment agreement with Steve Schuller as the next Public Works Director. Mr. Schuller comes to the City of Oak Harbor with an extensive background in public service and will start working at the City on Monday, March 21.
Steve’s municipal experience includes 14 years at the City of Snohomish and five years at the City of Duvall. During his tenure at these cities, he served in multiple leadership positions, including Public Works Director, Deputy City Manager, and Co-City Administrator. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwest University and a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Washington.
City Council and staff want to express their appreciation of Mick Monken for serving as the Interim Public Works Director.
