Description
Spring is a magical time to visit Meerkerk Gardens. If you?d like to explore the gardens during this beautiful time while also learning about plants and a little history about a unique property, consider a guided tour.
Volunteer docents will be leading 40-minute tours of Meerkerk each Saturday at 1 p.m., starting March 18. These tours are free with your $5 paid admission to the Gardens.
Explore the hidden corners of Meerkerk and discover something you never knew about rhododendrons. Meerkerk?s specialty nursery will also be open during this time.
Beginning April 15, garden tours will increase to three per week: 1 p.m. on Fridays; and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturdays through June 4. There will be no tours during Easter weekend.
Meerkerk Gardens is 53-acre garden and woodland preserve located at 3531 Meerkerk Lane in Greenbank (take the Resort Road exit off Highway 525). The nonprofit Gardens are open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. every day of the year except during extreme weather events.
